The City of Los Angeles is seeking bids for the Terminal Island Water Reclamation Plant (TIWRP) Primary Treatment Tanks Improvements project. The project involves structural repairs and improvements to concrete, replacement of the sludge and scum collection system, installation of new aluminum tank covers, and automation of tank influent gates. The contractor must possess a valid State of California Contractor's License Classification of "A". The project is subject to the provisions of the Department of Public Works Project Labor Agreement and the City's Local Business Preference Program. • The project requires replacement of pumps, chains, and flights • Installation of new automated venturi bypass gate with passive overflow weir • Installation of tie-in locations on the deck at the perimeter of the tanks for personnel safety • Installation of three spool pipes per tank (total of 18) • Installation of one new manual slide gate on tank 6 • Remediation will be required for Lead-Based Paint and Asbestos • Some of the equipment for this project is sole-sourced • There is an "as-bid" Building Information Model (BIM) available for the project
