Description:
The Village of Oak Park is seeking a consultant to conduct a Biodiversity and Green Infrastructure Study and Plan. The goal of the project is to establish a baseline of green infrastructure and enhanced park management existing in the Village and develop a plan to reach the 30% goal set in the Climate Ready Oak Park plan. The consultant will work closely with community members, conservation and biodiversity practitioners, stakeholders, and staff to establish a definition of and criteria for measuring green infrastructure and enhanced park management. The project will be divided into three tasks: defining green infrastructure and enhanced park management, determining existing conditions and areas of opportunity, and plan development. The consultant will submit a final report including suggested strategies, timelines, suggested implementing entities, and approximate costs. • The project will establish a baseline of green infrastructure and enhanced park management in the Village. • The consultant will work with community members, stakeholders, and staff to develop a plan to reach the 30% goal. • The project will include three tasks: defining green infrastructure and enhanced park management, determining existing conditions and areas of opportunity, and plan development. • The consultant will submit a final report including suggested strategies, timelines, suggested implementing entities, and approximate costs. • The project will consider access to green space, address climate risks and vulnerabilities, and include equity considerations.
