The Commonwealth of Kentucky, Kentucky Transportation Cabinet, is seeking bids for the provision of Thermoluminescent Dosimetry (TLD) badges. The TLD badges must be able to monitor and quantify beta, x-ray, gamma ray, and neutron exposure. The badges should have a photon energy response from 16 KEV to 6.1 MEV and a beta energy response from TL-204 to SR-90-/Y-90. The vendor must provide quarterly processing, set-up charges, addition of service, deletion of service, control monitors, quarterly reports, duplicate reports, and shipping costs. The contract will be for an initial period of approximately 12 months, with the option to extend for up to four additional one-year periods. • The TLD badges must meet specific requirements, including certification by NVLAP for neutron response. • The vendor must provide a certificate of insurance prior to award and maintain insurance coverage throughout the contract term. • The contract will be awarded to the bidder with the lowest price, with a preference given to Kentucky resident bidders. • The vendor must comply with all applicable statutes, regulations, and policies related to this procurement. • The contract may be extended to other state agencies or political subdivisions with the consent of the vendor.
