Description:
The City of Lawrenceville is soliciting competitive sealed bids from qualified contractors for the City of Lawrenceville Depot Street Parking Improvements Project. The project includes the demolition, removal, hauling, and disposal of existing building (asbestos removal), utility services, landscaping, pavement, concrete, existing retaining wall, and other features, as well as improvements to provide additional downtown parking along Depot Street. The work includes the installation of proposed curb and gutter and concrete sidewalks, base and asphalt pavement, new cast-in-place reinforced concrete retaining wall, storm drain piping, storm structures, site grading, erosion control, striping, pavement markings, signage, ADA pedestrian ramps, landscaping, and installation of site lighting. The project is located at the corner of North Perry Street and Depot Street in Lawrenceville, Georgia. Key requirements include: maintaining a permanent place of business, having the appropriate technical experience and working knowledge, having the right equipment to perform the work, having done and showing proof of no less than three contracts of similar character to the work being bid with an original contract price of no less than $200,000 within the past five years, visiting and examining the location of the work, and being required to enter into a binding contract with the City to perform the work. • The project requires a pre-bid conference, which is scheduled for 10:00 A.M. on Tuesday, April 15, 2025, at Lawrenceville City Hall. • The bid envelope should be marked on the outside with the Bid Number, name of Bidder, date, and time of opening. • A five percent (5%) bid bond must be submitted with the bid. • The successful contractor will be required to provide a one hundred percent (100%) payment and one hundred percent (100%) performance bond. • The City of Lawrenceville reserves the right to reject any or all bids, to waive technicalities, and to make an award as deemed in its best interest. • The Work shall be completed within 120 consecutive calendar days. • The minimum requirements for the bidder include maintaining a permanent place of business, having the appropriate technical experience and working knowledge, having the right equipment to perform the work, having done and showing proof of no less than three contracts of similar character to the work being bid with an original contract price of no less than $200,000 within the past five years, visiting and examining the location of the work, and being required to enter into a binding contract with the City to perform the work.
