The Boise VA Medical Center has a requirement for Legionella Water Testing Services. The contractor will be responsible for collecting water samples from various buildings on the BVAMC campus and testing them for Legionella contamination. The contractor must be accredited by one of the following accrediting bodies: National Environmental Laboratory Accreditation Program (NELAP), American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA), or Environmental Microbiology Laboratory Accreditation Program (EMLAP). The contractor must also demonstrate proficiency in the Centers for Disease Control (CDC) Environmental Legionella Isolation Techniques Evaluation (ELITE) program. Some key points about the job include: • The contractor will collect water samples from buildings 27, 67, 85, 116, 121, 122, and 123 every quarter. • Each building will require 20 water samples from random locations. • The contractor will also collect water samples from buildings 30, 114, and 117 during quarters 3 and 4 only. • The contractor must analyze the water samples using specific parameters, including Legionella, Residual Biocide (Chlorine), Temperature, and pH. • The contractor must report the results within 14 business days of sampling. • The contractor must also analyze Dental Water samples and SPS Water samples using specific parameters. • The contractor must be able to fulfill all tasks outlined in the Statement of Work while meeting applicable Veterans Healthcare Administration (VHA) Directives and local, state, and federal laws.
