The beacons are for purchase only, and the City will install them. The City also provides details on the electrical service, including the type of wiring and the connection to the power source. • The beacons must meet the requirements outlined in the "Standard Specifications for Structural Supports for Highway Signs, Luminaires, and Traffic Signals" published by AASHTD. • The beacons must be designed to meet the wind velocity of 100 mph. • The contractor must submit two sets of working drawings, signed and sealed by a professional engineer registered in the State of Colorado. • The footing design must be engineered and signed and sealed by a professional engineer registered in the State of Colorado if the sign configuration exceeds the proposed dimensions.
