The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (CAL FIRE) is seeking a contractor to provide NFPA 1851 compliant PPE maintenance services to 10 CAL FIRE San Diego Unit (SDU) locations. The services shall include inspection, cleaning, factory repair, and associated maintenance services for structural and wildland firefighter PPE. The contractor must be a certified Independent Service Provider (ISP) in compliance with NFPA 1851 standards and have a business license or incorporation papers for their respective State showing that their company is in good standing in that state. • The contractor must provide all materials, labor, equipment, tools, permits, taxes, transportation, and fees to provide the services. • The contractor must have a valid Motor Carrier Permit (MCP) issued by the Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) if required by California Vehicle Code Sections 34601 and 34620. • The contractor must provide commercial general liability insurance, worker's compensation insurance, and commercial automobile insurance. • The contractor must comply with all federal, state, city, and county laws, rules, or regulations affecting the work. • The contractor must cooperate with the CAL FIRE authorities and observe and comply with all regulations presently in force on CAL FIRE grounds.
