Description:
The Indian Health Service, Nashville Area Office is seeking a contractor to provide credentialing and privileging support services for a dynamic mix of providers across federal facilities within the Nashville Area IHS, which spans 29 states. The contractor will be responsible for reviewing and verifying licensure, education, training, experience, board certification, professional references, NPDB queries, and all other elements required to assess provider competency and qualifications. The scope of credentialing and privileging should follow the standards outlined in the Indian Health Manual (IHM), Part 3, Chapter 1 – Credentials and Privileges. • The contractor will provide credentialing and privileging support services for 30-40 providers annually. • The contractor will be required to have fully experienced staff, as the government will not provide training on credentialing and privileging. • The contractor will be expected to perform the work remotely, with no requirement to be onsite. • The government currently utilizes MD Staff for credentialing and has no plans to seek an alternative. • The contractor will be required to submit a proposal, including pricing, technical capability, and past performance. • The evaluation basis will be a trade-off, with past performance and technical capability roughly equal to price.

Budget Estimate (AI):

$200,000 – $500,000

The budget for this opportunity is estimated to be between $200,000 and $500,000 per year, based on the scope of work and the number of providers to be credentialed and privileged. The estimate is influenced by the fact that the government is seeking a service, not an individual specialist, and the contractor will be required to have fully experienced staff. The price will be evaluated based on a trade-off, with past performance and technical capability roughly equal to price.
