Description:
The City of New Haven is requesting qualifications from a multi-disciplinary team for the redevelopment of the Goffe Street Armory, a 160,000 square foot architectural landmark in the Dixwell neighborhood. The team should have experience in adaptive reuse of historic buildings, community-driven planning processes, and integrating climate and equity considerations into projects. The redevelopment will be centered on three core elements: Career-Connected Tech School, Affordable Housing, and Community Use(s). The selected team will provide a feasibility study, including adaptive reuse proposals, financial feasibility analysis, and a community engagement report. • The team should have experience in historic preservation, urban redevelopment, financial feasibility analysis, and community engagement processes. • The team should be able to identify viable uses for the Goffe Street Armory that meet community needs and are financially sustainable. • The team should have a clear strategy for engaging diverse community stakeholders and incorporating feedback. • The team should have experience in completing projects of similar scale, complexity, and community impact.
