The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is seeking a contractor to provide hot mix asphalt (HMA) concrete grinder dig-out repair and replacement paving services in El Dorado, Placer, Sacramento, Sutter, and Yolo counties. The contractor will be responsible for providing all labor, materials, tools, equipment, supplies, travel, traffic control, and incidentals necessary to perform the work. The contract will require the contractor to comply with various regulations, including prevailing wage rates, and to obtain necessary licenses and permits. • The contractor must have a valid Class A-General Engineering Contractor license or a C-12 Earthwork and Paving Contractor license issued by the California Contractors State Licensing Board (CSLB) and a C-31 Construction Zone Traffic Control Contractor license. • The contractor must comply with the California Civil Rights Laws and the Darfur Contracting Act. • The contractor must provide proof of insurance, including general liability, automobile liability, workers' compensation, and pollution liability. • The contractor must comply with the requirements of the California Department of Industrial Relations and the California Secretary of State.
