The Air Force Nuclear Weapons Center (AFNWC) is seeking information from industry to assist with the establishment of a production contract in support of LRSO integration on the B-52 weapon system. The equipment to be produced is the Nuclear Stores Interface Unit (NSIU), which will be integrated into the Suspension Underwing Unit-103 (SUU-103) pylons and Nuclear Rotary Launcher (NRL). The NSIU is a Line Replaceable Unit (LRU) providing an electronic interface to allow communication between the aircraft platform and LRSO store. • The NSIU is designed to update connections to meet current MIL-STD-1760 requirements and enhance nuclear hardness. • AFNWC/NDB is looking for vendors with the capability to produce the NSIU to the provided specifications and quality standards as a build-to-print manufacturing effort. • The production contract will not require hardware installation.
