Description:
The Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) is seeking information from potential contractors interested in providing cardboard compactor and corrugated cardboard recycling services for the VA Consolidated Mail Outpatient Pharmacy (CMOP) facility located in Shawnee, Kansas. The contractor will be required to provide leasing, supplies, materials, equipment, transportation, maintenance, and labor to perform the task in accordance with federal, state, and local laws and guidelines. The contract will consist of an initial year and up to four option years, making up a contract period of five years. Key requirements include: • Providing a minimum 40-yd self-contained compactor with hydraulic pump assembly and containment vessel • Providing a platform type, walk-on hopper with side safety rails and access gate interlock • Participating in marketing recyclable cardboard to recycling centers • Receiving proceeds from recyclable corrugated cardboard containers under the provisions of FMR 102-38.295 • Operating during preferred hours of M-F between 8 a.m. and 2 p.m., excluding Federal holidays
