The Employment Development Department (EDD) is seeking a contractor to provide monthly cooling tower water treatment services for the EDD facility located at 130 E. Ortega Street, Santa Barbara, CA 93101. The services include inspections, consultation, completion of water treatment services, identification and reporting of safety hazards, and compliance with state and local regulations. The contractor will be required to provide all necessary labor, tools, equipment, materials, and products to perform the work. The contract term is from November 1, 2025, to October 31, 2028. Key aspects of the job include: * Monthly maintenance services, including filling cooling tower chemicals, adding biocide, and inspecting and calibrating equipment * Water analysis tests, including pH, conductivity, cycles of concentration, and inhibitor levels * Compliance with health and safety requirements, including California Department of Public Health guidance and personal protective equipment requirements * Provision of all necessary labor, tools, equipment, materials, and products to perform the work * Travel time and expenses are at the contractor's expense
