Beaufort County is seeking qualifications from experienced consulting firms to provide on-call transportation engineering services, including roadway design, surveys, and utility relocation. The selected firms will provide services on an as-needed basis for a period of one year, renewable for up to three years, with a maximum contract total of $1,000,000 per year. The scope of work includes preparation of preliminary plans, right-of-way plans, and final construction plans for various transportation projects. • The services to be provided include surveys, conceptual designs, cost estimates, subsurface utility engineering, utility relocation coordination, hydrology/hydraulic design, roadway design, structural design, and noise barrier design. • The selected firms will be required to have experience with similar projects and familiarity with Beaufort County, SCDOT, and FHWA regulations. • The evaluation criteria include experience, quality, familiarity and knowledge, past performance, and availability. • The contract will be awarded based on the qualifications of the firms, with fees determined through negotiations.
