Description:
The Chelmsford Water District is seeking bids for the construction of a new treatment process for the removal of PFAS at the Crooked Spring Water Treatment Plant. The project involves building a new masonry building to house the treatment process, which will consist of six pressurized vessels filled with granular activated carbon (GAC). The building will be approximately 132 by 57 feet, with a main process floor depressed 4-feet below ground elevation. The project also includes upgrades to the Crooked Spring WTP main building and the construction of a spent washwater recycle tank. • The total time period for completion of all work is 730 consecutive calendar days. • Work performed beyond the 730 consecutive calendar day period will be subject to liquidated damages. • Bidders must be prequalified and submit a copy of their Certificate of Eligibility. • Bid security in the amount of 5% of the bid price is required. • The project is funded in part by the Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection. • Compliance with the Massachusetts Diesel Retrofit Program (MDRP) is required. • Minimum Wage Rates as determined by the Executive Office of Labor and Workforce Development apply to this project.
