Description:
The University of Texas at Austin is seeking a general contractor for the APT Phase 12 HVAC Upgrade project, which involves renovating four existing Married Student Housing Brackenridge Apartment buildings. The renovation includes demolition of HVAC, electrical, millwork, windows, sliding doors, ceilings, plumbing fixtures, and gypsum board, and the installation of new stud walls, HVAC, electrical, plumbing fixtures, wall tile, VCT, windows, doors, and millwork. The project has a budget range of $2,500,000 to $2,800,000 and is expected to be completed within 120 calendar days from the issuance of the Notice to Proceed. • The project requires a pre-proposal conference and site visits. • The contractor must limit their use of the premises to the work indicated and allow for owner occupancy and use by the public. • The contractor must also observe specific periods where no work may occur, such as during finals and commencement. • The contractor will be required to enter into a contract with the University and provide a letter of bonding capacity. • The University reserves the right to accept or reject any or all proposals and to waive any formalities or minor technical inconsistencies.
