The North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services is seeking design services for the renovation and upgrade of the Administration/Admissions Building at the Julian F. Keith ADATC in Black Mountain, NC. The project involves replacing doors, ceilings, and flooring, as well as providing new paint and other miscellaneous items. The project will also replace the existing HVAC systems, plumbing fixtures, and lighting, power, and fire alarm systems. An electronic card access/security system will be added, and bathrooms will be configured to make them ADA compliant. • The total project budget is $6,553,000, with $1,310,600 currently available. • The project is funded by the 2024-2025 Reserve for Repairs and Renovations. • The proposing firm must be properly licensed to practice Architecture, Engineering, or Landscape Architecture in the State of North Carolina. • The selection committee will consider factors such as specialized expertise, past performance, adequate staff, and proposed design approach.
