Description:
The New Haven Public Schools (NHPS) are seeking a web-based school cafeteria management and point of sale program for their food service department. The proposed program should include software, pin pads, training, implementation services, technical support, and other related services. The program should be able to support free, reduced, or community eligibility meal application processing, rollover of students, POS system tracking, and other functions. The contractor should have experience in providing similar services to school districts and should be able to partner with minority and women-owned businesses. The evaluation criteria include scope of requirements, cost/value, service and compatibility, buying group participation, business information, and complete and detailed list of items. • The NHPS serves roughly 19,000 students and operates 32 elementary and middle schools, 10 high schools, 5 transitional schools, and 1 adult and continuing education center. • The food service program serves an estimated 10,000 meals per day. • The proposed program should be able to track meals served, student accounts, and other related data. • The contractor should provide written proof of business/financial stability, account staff team qualifications, and customer service experience. • The contractor should also provide information on environmentally preferable product efforts and a complete and detailed list of items.
