The Indian Health Service is seeking a contractor to provide medical transcription services to the Quentin N Burdick Memorial Health Care Facility in Belcourt, North Dakota. The contractor will be required to provide a wide range of medical transcription services, including death, discharge, and transfer summaries, history and physicals, operative reports, emergency room visits, outpatient office notes, progress notes, and other miscellaneous reports. The contractor must have extensive knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology and must be able to provide accurate interpretation and transcription of medical reports. The contract will be for a base year with two option years, and the contractor must be able to meet the delivery schedule and provide services 365 days a year, 24 hours a day. • The contractor must provide a telephone dictation system with a toll-free number for staff to dictate notes, medical reports, and summaries. • The contractor must provide training to medical providers on how to use the dictation system. • The contractor must maintain adequate resources and equipment to meet performance objectives. • The contractor must provide coverage 365 days a year, 24 hours a day, including weekends and holidays. • The contractor must type and bill at 80 characters per line.
