Description:
The Douglas County Board of Commissioners is seeking sealed bids from qualified firms for the design, permitting, site preparation, and construction of a new Fire/EMS Department Training Building. The project will include a pre-engineered metal building with offices, classrooms, a kitchenette, and an enclosed bay with interactive fire suppression props. The project must comply with state and federal statutes, rules, and regulations. The contract will be awarded to the responsible offeror whose bid is determined to be the most advantageous and of best value to the county. • The project is expected to start in late Summer 2025 and be substantially completed by late Spring 2026. • The contractor must provide a bid bond in the amount of 5% of the bid for the complete work. • The contractor must also provide a performance bond equal to 100% of the total contract price. • The contract may be renewed for three additional one-year periods. • The contractor must comply with all applicable federal and state security and immigration laws.
