Description:
The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor to provide urgent and non-emergent ambulance transportation services for veterans in the Omaha, Nebraska area. The contractor will be required to provide all vehicles, personnel, management, supplies, equipment, and necessary reporting for the provision of Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Life Support (ALS), and Specialty Care/Critical Care Transport (SCT/CCT) stretcher transport services. The contractor must be capable of transporting patients 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, including weekends and holidays. Some key requirements include: • Providing all necessary personnel, including EMTs, paramedics, and ambulance drivers • Ensuring that all personnel meet the qualifications specified in the contract and all applicable federal, state, and local government laws, regulations, and standards • Providing and maintaining all necessary equipment, including ambulances, stretchers, and medical supplies • Ensuring that all vehicles are clean and maintained in good repair • Providing adequate and safe storage of oxygen tanks during transport • Utilizing the VetRide Vendor Portal or VA-approved transportation software for all transportation requests • Submitting claims and invoices through the VetRide Vendor Portal or VA-approved transportation software system
