The Department of Veterans Affairs is seeking a contractor to provide patient linen cleaning services for the Washington DC VAMC Community Living Center. The contractor will be responsible for furnishing all labor, supervision, materials, equipment, and transportation necessary to provide the services. The contract will be for a period of one year, with the option to extend. The contractor will be required to pick up soiled linen and deliver clean linen twice weekly, and to provide additional services as needed. The contractor will also be required to maintain sufficient equipment and staffing to process an average of 850 pounds of linen per week. • The contractor will be required to comply with all applicable standards and regulations, including those related to sanitation and safety. • The contractor will be required to provide a written contingency plan to ensure uninterrupted service during disruptions. • The contractor will be required to submit a monthly ragout report and to provide a written procedure for cleaning and sanitizing carts and equipment. • The contractor will be required to maintain accurate records and to provide reports as requested by the Contracting Officer's Representative.
