The City of Los Angeles Department of Recreation and Parks is seeking proposals for a comprehensive Citywide Synthetic and Natural Turf Assessment. The assessment will inform recommendations regarding the future installation of synthetic grass or artificial turf and develop a plan for the removal and replacement of existing synthetic turf fields. The selected Proposer will be responsible for conducting a detailed lifecycle analysis of synthetic and natural turf fields, including installation, operation, and maintenance costs, as well as disposal procedures. The Proposer will also facilitate public meetings and engagement functions, and develop a comprehensive report summarizing the findings. • The assessment will cover all lifetime costs, environmental effects, maintenance and staffing requirements, and disposal procedures. • The main goal of this assessment is to guide the City in selecting optimal grass for public spaces, considering both costs and environmental impacts. • The final assessment report will be provided to the City Council, detailing necessary budget and policy adjustments for City agencies to comply with new regulations. • The Proposer will be required to submit a detailed fee proposal, including costs for travel, printing, and reproduction. • The Proposer will be responsible for managing all project aspects, including subcontractor coordination and adherence to the timeline and budget.
