The National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) is seeking information on vendors that can provide a 50K Cryocooler. The cryocooler should have a base temperature of 50 K, be able to operate at temperatures between 50 K and 100 K, and have a cooling power of at least 2 W at 50 K. The cryocooler should also be air-cooled, have a temperature controller, and be able to interface with a PC via USB. Interested vendors should submit electronic copies of their capability statements, which should include company profile, product specifications, and other relevant information. The purpose of this sources sought announcement is to determine if there are small businesses that can provide the specialized equipment identified in the requirements/specifications document. • The cryocooler should be a commercial product with at least one unit of comparable complexity operating successfully in the field. • The cryocooler should be new and covered by the original manufacturer's full warranty. • The cryocooler should have a plan for maintenance, which may require an additional fee. • The cryocooler should be able to operate on single-phase 120 VAC / 60 Hz input power and have a NEMA 5-15 receptacle. • The cryocooler should have a rated Mean Time Before Failure of at least 100,000 hours.
