The US Army Corps of Engineers is seeking sources for a potential government requirement to construct the Waterfront Water Distribution Phase 1 project at the Military Ocean Terminal Concord (MOTCO) in California. The project involves replacing existing water lines with larger diameter lines to increase potable water and fire flows to Wharf 2, future Wharf 3.5, and other buildings on the tidal side of MOTCO. The project also includes replacing existing fire hydrants and valves, and adding a chlorination station. The Government estimates that the design and construction of the project can be completed within 540 calendar days from receipt of Notice to Proceed. • The project requires replacing 4300 linear feet of 12” water line with 16” water line, 3200 linear feet of 10” water line with 20” water line, 2500 linear feet of 14” water line with a new 14” water line, and 2400 linear feet of 14” water line with 20” water line. • The project also requires replacing existing fire hydrants and valves connected to these water lines if they are not installed within the last 30 years. • The Government intends to award the anticipated requirement to a capable 8(a) ANC/Tribal Owned contractor. • The estimated magnitude of construction is expected to be between $10,000,000 and $25,000,000.
