The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) Aviation Division is seeking professional engineering services for airport facilities improvements at various locations throughout the state of Texas. The services include design and bidding for runway, taxiway, apron, drainage, electrical, lighting, signage, fencing, landscaping, terminal buildings, aircraft hangars, markings, and associated appurtenances. The selected firms will be required to perform services in accordance with federal advisory circulars and TxDOT standards and specifications. The contract term will not exceed 5 years, and all work authorizations will be issued within the first 3 years of the contract. The TxDOT Project Manager will negotiate a fee schedule with the selected firms, and compensation for individual projects will be based on a specified rate, lump sum, unit cost, or cost-plus fixed fee. • The selected firms must have a licensed professional engineer in Texas who will sign and seal the work performed on the contract. • The firms must demonstrate experience with similar projects and familiarity with federal advisory circulars and TxDOT standards and specifications. • The firms must have the minimum system capabilities listed in the eGrants manual to submit contract documents, pay requests, and other deliverables. • The firms must commit to performing at least 30% of the actual contract work. • The firms must be registered with the Texas Secretary of State's office to do business in the state of Texas.
