The County of Sacramento is seeking bids for the remodel of the Warren E. Thornton Youth Center to accommodate a behavioral health children's crisis stabilization unit and a psychiatric health facility program. The project includes reconfiguring two existing housing units into two distinct behavioral health patient units, as well as related support spaces. The crisis stabilization unit will accommodate approximately 19 patients for stays intended to last 24-hours, and the psychiatric health facility unit will accommodate approximately 15 patients for longer periods. The project also includes upgrades to existing electrical, security, plumbing, mechanical, and accessible site improvements. • The project is grant-funded, with an estimated construction cost of $19,890,530. • A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on August 12, 2025, at 10:00 am. • Bids must be submitted electronically through the Sacramento County electronic bidding portal. • The County reserves the right to reject any or all bids and to waive any informality in any bid.
