The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs, Network Contracting Office (NCO) 23 is seeking information from small businesses capable of providing hospital grade mattress inspection services at the St. Cloud VA Medical Center. The contractor will be responsible for inspecting mattresses, including visual inspection, checking the zipper, removing the mattress cover, conducting a fluid ingress test, testing the mattress's impermeability, assessing mattress support, and checking for structural integrity. The contractor will also identify and produce a list/report of all mattresses that failed inspection. • The facility is located at 4801 Veterans Drive, St. Cloud, MN 56303. • The average number of mattresses to be inspected annually is approximately 316. • The contractor shall develop and submit to the Government for approval, a written inspection checklist that will be used for on-site mattress inspections, within ten (10) calendar days after contract award. • The contractor will be escorted by VA staff to the designated locations/patient rooms. • Removal of linens will be provided by VA staff.
