Description:
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) is seeking a contractor to replace the existing HVAC system at their facility in Aurora, CO. The project involves removing and disposing of the existing wall-mounted VPAC and two HVAC units, and installing a new wall-mounted VPAC and two new 15-ton packaged HVAC units. The contractor will also be responsible for providing and installing a new mini-split system, as well as associated ductwork, controls, and other related components. The project is expected to last approximately 60 calendar days. The FAA contemplates awarding a Firm Fixed Price Contract as a result of this solicitation. Some key points to consider include: • The contractor must be currently registered in the System for Award Management (SAM) database. • The contractor will be required to provide a certificate of disposal for the refrigerant. • The project is tax exempt. • The contractor will be responsible for providing temporary HVAC/cooling units during the project. • The contractor will be required to provide a contract-specific Safety Plan. • The contractor will need to provide a porta john for the duration of the project. • The FAA will not remove the weather shields around the existing chillers, and it will be the contractor's responsibility to move them if necessary.
