The State of Delaware Department of Labor Disability Determination Services is seeking professional medical and psychological consultants to evaluate Social Security Disability Claims. The selected consultant will be responsible for reviewing casework, evaluating medical and psychological evidence, and making recommendations for disability determinations. The consultant will work on a part-time basis, with a minimum commitment of 20 hours per week, and will be paid $45 per case reviewed. The contract term is for one year, with three optional extensions of one year each. Key responsibilities include: • Reviewing casework in electronic or hard copy format • Evaluating medical and psychological evidence to determine its adequacy for making disability decisions • Assessing the severity of impairments and the impact on functional capacities or limitations • Making recommendations for consultative examinations and other medical tests • Providing training to DDS staff on medical and psychological expertise • Maintaining an acceptable substantive accuracy rate of 90.6%
