The Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) is seeking qualified firms to provide professional engineering services for Airport Facilities Improvement Construction Management projects at various airports throughout the state. The selected firms will enter into indefinite deliverable contracts with TxDOT, with a contract term not exceeding 5 years. The scope of work includes construction management services, inspection services, materials and testing laboratory services, and surveying services. The responding firms must demonstrate their project understanding, including utilization of professional engineer services, and provide information on their recent experience, quality assurance/quality control process, and communication plan. Key aspects of the job include: • Providing construction management services, including attending construction meetings, reviewing reports and submittals, and preparing change order recommendations • Performing inspection services, including reviewing and inspecting construction activities and maintaining records • Conducting materials and testing laboratory services, including sampling, testing, and inspection of materials • Providing surveying services, including design verification, utility location surveys, and construction control surveys • Ensuring compliance with federal advisory circulars, TxDOT standards and specifications, and applicable laws and regulations • Coordinating with TxDOT project managers, airport sponsors, and other stakeholders • Preparing and submitting monthly progress reports and payment requests • Maintaining accurate records and documentation of all work performed.
