The City of Lawrence is seeking proposals from qualified firms to provide engineering services for the 6th & Kasold Water Tower maintenance and coatings project. The selected firm will be responsible for evaluating the existing conditions of the tank, designing rehabilitation construction documents, and providing construction phase services. The scope of work includes reviewing existing information, performing an on-site assessment, preparing construction plans, and providing cost estimates. • The project requires the selected firm to have experience in the evaluation and rehabilitation of water storage facilities. • The firm must demonstrate a knowledge and understanding of the design and rehabilitation of water storage facilities and associated appurtenances. • The project approach should emphasize reuse of existing facilities, limiting impacts to neighboring properties, operator safety, regulatory compliance, and lifecycle/asset management. • The firm must provide a list and description of deliverables proposed and describe how these deliverables will allow the firm to successfully provide project services that meet or exceed City expectations.
