The Orange Water and Sewer Authority is seeking bids for the Burning Tree Dr Waterline Replacement project. The project involves the installation of approximately 4,634 linear feet of 8-inch restrained joint polywrapped ductile iron water pipeline, as well as the installation of 831 linear feet of 2-inch SDR 17 PVC water main and 90 linear feet of 2-inch type "K" hard copper water main. The project also includes the abandonment of approximately 5,470 linear feet of 8-inch AC water pipe by cellular concrete or grout fill. The successful bidder will be required to perform the work within 395 consecutive calendar days from the date of notice to proceed. A mandatory pre-bid conference will be held on April 28, 2026, at 3:00 P.M. • The project requires a unit price general construction contract. • The contractor and all subcontractors must have valid North Carolina General Contractor's Licenses for the type and value of the work to be performed. • The project has a minimum 10% participation goal for minority businesses. • The contractor will be required to submit a non-collusion affidavit pursuant to Section 133-30 of the General Statutes of North Carolina. • The contract documents will be made available to prospective bidders on April 10, 2026, and can be viewed free of charge at the OWASA Administrative Offices.
