The County of Howard, Maryland, is seeking a qualified engineering consulting firm to provide comprehensive engineering services for the design, bidding, and construction phases of the Little Patuxent Water Reclamation Plant (LPWRP) Flow Equalization Improvements Project. The project involves replacing three existing flow equalization basins with new basins, providing a total storage capacity of 8 million gallons. The scope of work includes full design development, project permitting, engineering assistance during the bidding process, and construction phase support. The selected consultant will deliver a solution that meets current and anticipated operational demands while ensuring compliance with applicable codes and regulatory requirements. Key aspects of the project include: * Design and construction of four new rectangular cast-in-place concrete basins, each with a capacity of 2 MG * Installation of yard piping for flow equalization influent, effluent, and overflow connections * Equipping each basin with a 60 HP jet mix pump, a 40 HP blower, and a 195-ft jet mix fiberglass-reinforced plastic (FRP) header * Incorporating flushing gates and water cannons for cleaning and maintenance * Providing electrically actuated 24” plug valves for flow equalization influent and effluent flow control * Ensuring proper integration with the plant's Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition (SCADA) system
