Description:
The Security, Privacy, and Trust in Cyberspace (SaTC 2.0) program aims to build trust in global cyber ecosystems. The program spans the interests of NSF's Directorates for Computer and Information Science and Engineering, Mathematical and Physical Sciences, Social, Behavioral and Economic Sciences, and STEM Education. Proposals must be submitted pursuant to one of the following designations: Research (RES), Education (EDU), or Seedling (SEED). Each designation has its own requirements and budget limits. The program seeks to achieve trust in cyberspace by understanding the vulnerabilities in a system, the social and technical dimensions of trust in cyber systems, and the educational efforts needed to increase public awareness of risks in cyberspace. • The RES designation is the focus of the multidisciplinary SaTC 2.0 research program, with projects limited to $1,200,000 in total budget and durations of up to four years. • The EDU designation is used to identify proposals focusing on education and workforce training in building trust in security, privacy, and resilience of cyberspace, with projects limited to $500,000 in total budget and durations of up to three years. • The SEED category is intended for special topics defined by accompanying Dear Colleague Letters, with projects limited to $300,000 in total budget and durations of up to two years.
