The Snohomish County PUD is seeking bids for the rebuild of twelve needle valves associated with two 52-MW vertical Pelton turbines at the Jackson Powerhouse. The project includes the removal and reinstallation of the needle valves, replacement of gaskets, O-rings, and bushing hardware, and coating of the needle valves. The contractor will also be responsible for maintaining a confined space entry program, air-handling, sump-pumps for dewatering, dust-containment, lead-abatement, oil containment, and other items reasonably related to the performance of the needle valve rebuilds. • The project is located at the Jackson Hydroelectric Project Powerhouse, approximately 10 minutes north of the City of Sultan, Washington. • The engineer's estimate for the project is $1,975,000. • The project includes alternate bid items, such as dye penetrant testing, HD 3D scanning, and replacement of copper cooling water lines. • The contractor must attend one of two mandatory pre-bid meetings, and site visits may be requested by appointment only.
