Description:
The Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD) is seeking a qualified firm or individual to perform HQS and NSPIRE inspections on an as-needed basis for its federal Housing Choice Voucher Program throughout the state of Maryland. The contractor will be responsible for maintaining up-to-date versions of relevant laws, rules, and regulations, and providing sufficient training to inspectors. The contractor must have completed at least 100 HQS inspections for federal Section 8 Housing Choice Voucher Programs within the last three years. Key responsibilities include: • Performing HQS and NSPIRE inspections • Maintaining up-to-date knowledge of relevant laws, rules, and regulations • Providing sufficient training to inspectors • Completing inspection forms and submitting them to the Contract Monitor • Notifying tenants and owners of inspection results • Being available by phone during regular business hours to answer questions related to scheduled and completed inspections
