The Rowan County is soliciting bids for the construction of the Dan Nicholas Campground Bathhouses and Picnic Shelter Restrooms. The project includes the construction of three new buildings: Campground Bathhouse 1 (upper), Campground Bathhouse 2 (lower), and Picnic Shelter Restroom. The project requires a general contractor to provide labor, materials, and equipment for the construction of the buildings, including site work, civil, structural, plumbing, mechanical, and electrical work. The contractor will be required to track each of the three structures separately and provide separate bids for each building. The contract will be awarded to the single general contractor with the lowest total bid for all three buildings. • The project includes typical general construction work such as building demo, CMU masonry, wood trusses and framing, miscellaneous steel framing and fabrications, waterproofing and dampproofing, roofing, doors, hardware, windows, hollow metal frames, moisture-resistant gypsum board walls and ceilings, finishes, and typical plumbing, HVAC, and electrical work. • The contractor must have proper licenses under the state laws governing their respective trades. • Each proposal must be accompanied by a certified check or a bid bond of 5% of the proposal. • The contractor must carry workers' compensation, comprehensive general liability, and contractual liability insurance. • The contract will be executed on the Standard Agreement of the American Institute of Architects.
