Description:
The County of Lancaster is seeking a professional auditing firm to perform auditing services for the county. The selected firm will be responsible for expressing an opinion on the fair presentation of the county's financial statements in conformity with accounting principles generally accepted in the United States of America. The firm will also be required to audit the financial statements of the governmental activities, the notes to the financial statements, each major fund, and the aggregate remaining fund information of the County of Lancaster. The audit will be conducted at the level necessary to meet all the requirements of the Government Finance Officers Association (GFOA) Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting program. The county is requesting pricing for a three-year agreement for the years-ending 2026, 2027, and 2028, with two 1-year options at the county's discretion for 2029 and 2030. Some key points to consider: • The audit firm must be independent and licensed to practice in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. • The firm must have no conflict of interest with regard to any other work performed by the firm for the County of Lancaster. • The firm must submit a copy of its last external quality control review report and have a record of quality audit work. • The firm will be required to provide a PDF copy of the draft Single Audit report no later than September 1 of each year and to provide all other needed copies by September 15 of each year. • The firm will be required to assist in completing the Federal Data Collection Form and timely electronically file it.
