Description:
The Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) is seeking a vendor to provide American Sign Language (ASL) interpretation services for students at Diamond Elementary School, located at Fort Stewart, GA. The contractor will be required to provide one full-time ASL interpreter to meet the individualized education program (IEP) and/or individualized health plan (IHP) of each student. The interpreter will be expected to accompany students on the school bus to and from school, if required by the students' IEP or IHP. The contract will be for a period of 12 months, with the possibility of extension. Key aspects of the job include: • Providing ASL interpretation services for students with disabilities • Meeting the individualized education program (IEP) and/or individualized health plan (IHP) of each student • Accompanying students on the school bus to and from school, if required • Working in a school setting, with a focus on special education services • Providing services for a period of 12 months, with the possibility of extension
