The City of Trenton is seeking a qualified bond counsel to provide services for the Department of Finance. The selected firm will work closely with the City to prepare, review, and opine on bond ordinances, assist in reviews and updates of official statements, and provide advice on legal and financial matters. The contract will be for a period of up to five years, with an option to extend each year. • The bond counsel will provide services on an as-needed basis. • The bond counsel will have a close working relationship with the City of Trenton, Finance Department. • The bond counsel will assist in relationship management with rating agencies. • The bond counsel will provide legal opinions on the sale of bonds and notes. • The bond counsel will attend meetings when requested.
