Description:
The objective of this project is to acquire and install a steam boiler to replace the existing Bryan boiler at Joint Base Cape Cod. The boiler will be used for environmental climate control and for the autoclave system in Building 1398. The contractor will supply all labor, materials, equipment, and supervision for this installation. Key requirements include: • The steam requirement is 50 psi and between 480K BTU and 650K BTU. • The boiler must be able to start two autoclave units that require a 208K BTU 5-minute start-up without losing steam pressure. • The boiler must also support a weekly startup of a steam kettle at 15 PSI. • The existing pipes and valves are ancient and will also need to be replaced as part of the project.
