The City of Long Beach is seeking bids for the construction of the Alamitos 9A and 14 Pump-to-Waste Drain Line. The project involves the installation of on-site discharge piping and modification of an existing storm water manhole and piping system to tie into the existing storm water system. The work will be performed at Stearns Champions Park. The project requires the contractor to assume sole and complete responsibility for job site conditions during construction, including safety of all persons and property. The contractor must also comply with the City of Long Beach's noise regulations, maintain dust control, and use best management practices for erosion and sediment control. • The project includes excavation, construction survey staking, traffic control, and restriping. • The contractor must obtain a business license from the City of Long Beach prior to construction and obtain all required permits. • The contractor must notify the Long Beach Utilities Department's Chief Construction Inspector at least seven days prior to any construction. • The contractor must also notify Underground Service Alert (USA) and all public utility companies and owners of all private facilities at least 72 hours in advance of performing any work in the area.
