The California Department of Transportation (Caltrans) is seeking bids for janitorial services in San Diego County. The successful bidder will be required to provide all labor, tools, materials, janitorial cleaning supplies, consumables, restroom and kitchen paper supplies, light bulbs, and fluorescent tubes necessary to provide a clean and sanitary work environment for Caltrans. The services will be performed at various Maintenance Facilities and one Toll Plaza located in San Diego County. The contract will be for a multi-provider agreement, with up to two bidders being awarded the agreement. The bidder must be DVBE certified, registered with the Labor Commissioner's Office, and meet all the minimum qualifications outlined in the solicitation. Some key responsibilities include: * Sweeping and/or dust mopping all floorings, stairways, hallways, lobbies, office areas, kitchens, lunchrooms, break areas, restrooms, and lounges * Vacuuming and spot cleaning all carpeted areas * Dusting and polishing door sashes, ledges, tops of partitions, light switches, chairs, woodwork, baseboards, walls, and partitions * Cleaning wastepaper baskets, water fountains, kitchen appliances, countertops, kick plates, public facing counters, toilet stall knobs, and latches * Cleaning mirrors, sinks, toilets, showers, and urinals in restrooms * Emptying sanitary napkin disposal containers and filling soap dispensers, toilet paper dispensers, and paper towel dispensers * Damp mopping restroom floors and spot cleaning restroom partitions * Providing plastic bag liners for waste baskets The contract is expected to start after the award date, with the exact start date to be determined by Caltrans.
