The Clay County Utility Authority is seeking bids for the Meadowbrook Water Treatment Plant (WTP) Improvements Project. The project involves the construction of new high service pumps, two new ground storage tanks, yard and mechanical piping improvements, new instrumentation and controls, and new electrical systems. The selected contractor will be responsible for performing the work complete and in place, ensuring that the Meadowbrook WTP remains in operation during construction. The contractor must also protect existing materials, structures, and equipment on-site during construction activities. Key aspects of the project include: • Mobilization/Demobilization, General Requirements, Bonds, and Insurance • Site Work, including site preparation, erosion control, salvage, demolition, site grading, and site restoration • Replacement of existing high service pumps with five new high service pumps • Construction of two new prestressed concrete ground storage tanks • Yard and mechanical piping improvements • New magnetic flow meter assembly • New asphalt driveway • Improvements to electrical and instrumentation and controls systems The project requires the contractor to have experience in water/wastewater treatment improvement projects of similar scope, size, and cost. The contractor must also have a licensed Florida General Contractor and provide proof of satisfactory completion of at least three reference projects.
