The Douglasville-Douglas County Water and Sewer Authority is seeking bids for the Bear Creek Water Treatment Plant High Service Pump Addition project. The project involves installing an additional 2500 hp High Service Pump in the existing High Service Pump Station Building and a High Service Pump Variable Speed Drive and Control Panel in the existing Electrical Building. The contractor will also be responsible for installing new pump discharge piping and valves, wiring, and conduit for providing power and instrumentation SCADA controls. The authority has purchased the 2500 hp High Service Vertical Turine Pump and Variable Speed Control Panel, as well as the 24" diameter GA Industries Flange Pump Check Ball Valve and Control Panel. • The project requires a Utility Contractors License. • The contractor must meet the contractor's qualifications and sub-contractor's qualifications listed in the contract specification documents. • The contractor must be on, or promptly qualify for inclusion on, the Douglasville-Douglas County Water and Sewer Authority's Pre-Approved Contractors List. • All work will be performed on authority property, and all anticipated property and easements required for the project have been acquired by the authority. • All anticipated federal, state, and local permits required for the project have been obtained.
