The Department of General Services (DGS) is seeking a qualified firm to provide Materials Testing and Inspection Services for the Butte Fire Center project in Magalia, California. The project involves the phased demolition and construction of an existing CALFIRE/CCC Multibuilding complex, including the construction of 20 new buildings and site work such as grading, paving, and retaining walls. The successful firm will provide professional Material Testing Services, including soils, reinforcing steel, structural steel, aggregate, concrete, inspections, and reports. The firm must have experience in providing similar services and must be licensed in the State of California. • The estimated cost of construction is approximately $81,977,400.00. • The estimated duration of this contract is 24 months. • The firm must have a minimum of one person with experience in Soil Inspection and Density Testing, Reinforcing Steel Inspection, Concrete Placement Inspection/Sampling, and other related fields. • The firm must have a laboratory approved by the Division of State Architect (DSA) and meet the designation of ASTM E329. • The firm must be registered with the Department of Industrial Relations (DIR) as a public works contractor. • The firm must comply with prevailing wage laws and regulations.
