Description:
The 140th Mission Support Group is seeking information on potential sources capable of providing mechanical assist shelving units to replace or modify existing electronic shelving units. The new system should be able to sustain 21,000 lbs. per shelf, have a minimum of 15 moving carriages, and be mechanically operated. The goal is to improve safety and efficiency in the storage and issuance of individual protective equipment. Key elements of the required system include a maximum area of 100'L x 26'D x 13'H, a minimum shelf depth of 24", and a modifiable storage system. Vendors are encouraged to provide feedback on the feasibility and cost-effectiveness of replacement and modification options, as well as alternative solutions. • The system should operate within a 100’ x 26’ x 13’ area. • The system should be able to sustain 21,000 lbs. per shelf. • The system should have a minimum of 15 moving carriages. • The system should have a minimum storage capability of 30” x 24” x 24”. • The system should be modifiable. • The system should have a minimum 48” gap between shelves when opened. • The system should have a mechanically operated shelf moving system.
