The Western Piedmont Community College is seeking bids for the reconstruction of the ropes course on its campus. The project includes rebuilding platforms, walkways, zip lines, and fencing, and all new construction should be treated with wood protectant. A mandatory pre-bid meeting will be held on September 17, 2025. Bidders must submit their proposals by October 1, 2025, and must include the Identification of Minority Business Participation form and either Affidavit A or Affidavit B. The contract will be awarded to the lowest responsible, responsive bidder. • The project is part of the Therapeutic Recreation program. • The original Alpine tower and ropes course were damaged in Hurricane Helene. • All new construction should be treated with wood protectant. • The contract will be a lump sum contract for the base project. • There are no alternates proposed at this time. • The bidder shall include with the bid proposal the form Identification of Minority Business Participation identifying the minority business participation it will use on the project. • The bidder must have proper licenses as required under state laws governing their respective trades. • Payment will be made based on 95% of monthly estimates and final payment made upon completion and acceptance of work.
