The U.S. Department of Homeland Security, Federal Protective Service, is seeking input and gauging interest from parties experienced in security support services. The anticipated magnitude of this effort is estimated to be 423,469.75 hours or more per year, with a workforce of approximately 250 or more employees. Interested entities would be required to provide armed Protective Security Officers at Federally owned, leased, or occupied facilities in North Central/East Texas, including Dallas. The services would include physical security, access control, badging, x-ray and magnetometer screening, control center operations, traffic control, and visitors processing. • The contractor would need to provide competent, trained, uniformed Armed security officers who meet the standards for providing guard services in the applicable localities. • The contractor would need to provide contract management, supervision, manpower, training, screening, equipment, supplies, licenses, permits, certifications, insurance, pre-employment screenings, reports, files, and any other resources necessary to satisfactorily perform the requirements of this effort. • The contractor would need to provide security services twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week, and 365 days a year. • The contractor would need to be responsible for conducting adequate background checks to ensure that personnel hired can obtain and maintain the applicable security clearance.
